Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 18-23 years (as of 01/01/2025, born between 02/01/2002 and 01/01/2007)
- Age Relaxation: As per government rules for reserved categories
- Educational Qualification: 10th/Matriculation pass from a recognized board
- Nationality: Indian citizen (domicile/PRC required for state-wise vacancies)
- Application Fee: Rs. 100 (exempted for SC, ST, ESM, and female candidates)
Selection Process
- Computer-Based Examination (CBT): Objective type, 80 questions, 160 marks, 60 minutes
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Race and biometric identification
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, chest, weight checks
- Medical Examination: Detailed medical fitness test
- Document Verification: Verification of all submitted documents
Exam Pattern & Syllabus
- Sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, English/Hindi
- Questions: 20 per section, total 80 questions
- Marks: 2 marks per correct answer, 0.25-0.50 negative marks per wrong answer
- Syllabus Topics: Reasoning (non-verbal, patterns), GK (current affairs, history), Math (arithmetic, algebra), Language (grammar, comprehension)
Salary & Benefits
- Pay Scale: Rs. 21,700 - Rs. 69,100 (Pay Level-3, 7th Pay Commission)
- Sepoy (NCB): Rs. 18,000 - Rs. 56,900 (Pay Level-1)
- Allowances: House rent, transportation, dearness allowance, medical facilities, pension
- Starting Salary: Approx. Rs. 23,527/month (including allowances)
